Gouda Pear En Croute
Ingredients:
2 eggs beaten
1 pear, quartered and sliced
12 puff pastry, 3-inch squares
1 Hautly Baby Gouda cheese, cubed
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Grease baking sheet and set aside. Spread out thawed puff pastry squares and brush them with a light coat of egg wash.
Place a quartered pear slice in the center of the pastry. Place Gouda on top of each pear. Carefully fold each corner of the square up to form a peak. Pinch the seams firmly to seal in the cheese. Brush the outside of the pastry with egg. Refrigerate for 20 minutes then place on baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
