Grilled Cheese: Swiss, Pear and Cumin

Ingredients:

2 thin slices sourdough bread
1 oz. slice Hautly Swiss Cheese
1 thinly sliced firm pear
pinch of cumin seed
olive oil or butter for brushing bread

Directions

Top first slice of bread with the slices of Swiss cheese. Sprinkle the cumin seed. Then arrange the pear slices before topping with the bread. Press together firmly.

Lightly spread the outside of the sandwich with butter or olive oil. Heat a heavy non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Put a weight on the sandwich (use a sandwich press or another heavy, heat-resistant pan.) Brown, turning once, until sandwich is crisp, golden, and melted.
