Volunteerism

Hautly Cheese Company promotes healthy, balanced living.   It's not just a marketing message-We practice it at work and at home. Leading a balanced life includes giving to others in need. Thanks to the Hautly employees that volunteer at the following organizations:

  • Boy Scouts of America
  • Evangelical Children's Home
  • Concordia Foundation
  • Drury University
  • Lutheran High School Association
  • Mehlville Optimist Club
  • Peace Lutheran Church
  • PRSA
  • St. Alphonsus (The Rock)
  • Spirit of St. Louis Marathon
  • Variety Club
  • YMCA

“I love to help solicit funds on their behalf. I am able to see first hand the number of special people who dedicate their time and talents to the agency children. I get satisfaction knowing that I helped change their lives, ever so small sometimes, because they cannot do it alone.”

 Jerry Holway

Variety Club, Allocations Committee

"These organizations provide so many services to the communities we live in. Without them many people would be hungry, homeless or without hope."

Fitness

Do we sweat the small stuff? You bet we do! Hautly employees participate in the Get Moovin' fitness program, earning points for each minute of exercise, redeemable for fitness gear and activities. Last year staff members exercised over 42,000 minutes. How do we have fun?

“Rock climbing is the most advanced and challenging aspect of mountaineering to me. It's a battle against gravity. Nothing is as pleasurable as gazing up a daunting rock-face and thinking- “Oh, I can't climb that…”, and then actually managing to get to the top. After all, rock climbing is not about who gets to the top first, but who enjoys himself most while getting there.”

Dave Chambliss

“Tennis gives me competition, camaraderie, and a healthy heart. Kayaking gives me solitude, balance, and prayer time.”
