Heading back into the kitchen
There’s never a better time than fall to fill your home with the aroma of home cooked meals. While the summer serves up simple outdoor meals after lazy days, autumn comes with the chill that sends us indoors to warm our souls and keep us fueled for the hustle of schedule-packed days and nights.
Soups, stews, and pastas are the first to come to mind. And with it comes hearty breads and cheeses. No recipe necessary to crockpot fresh root veggies over a lean beef tip. Likewise, thick sliced multi-grain breads need no introduction to a full flavored white cheddar, gouda, or muenster. Ricotta filled pasta shells with a rich marinara sauce can be ready in a flash and bring sweet dreams of leftovers.
So take a little time this fall to remember the joys of cooking with all that fall has to offer. Crispy apples, sharp cheeses, warm breads and a house filled with the blessings of the changing season are lasting memories.
